Ugly sweaters: Every sports team, musician and fast food company seems to have their own iteration of the holiday’s hottest trend. But running shoe company Brooks just proved you don’t need to do sweaters to get in on the ugly sweater decoration trend.
The company added a new color option to its five-star Levitate 2 women’s running shoes. Now, running enthusiasts can sport ugly sweater-inspired shoes while logging miles at holiday light 5Ks and reindeer runs.
The red and green sneakers feature a Christmas tree and reindeer sweater design, with candy cane red and white laces.
The shoes even feature little jingle bells on the laces for an added holiday detail sure to delight runners as they sprint for hot chocolate.
We’re not suggesting you launch a line of holiday sweater sneakers. But for distributors looking to take advantage of this trend without actually producing a line of sweaters, there’s still hope.

You can even replicate the ugly sweater look on coffee mugs, like the University of Arizona:
As you can see, the sky’s the limit for ugly sweater merchandising. All you need is the motif.
