Toddy Gear, Chicago, recently announced the addition of Jason Emery to its executive team. Emery brings 17 years of experience in sales, marketing, product development and overseas manufacturing to the company. As a rapidly expanding global company, Toddy Gear’s increasing success compelled it to further enhance its presence in the U.S. and in international markets. Emery’s expertise in distribution, suppliers and promotional products will be key to the company’s future plans.
As vice president of Toddy Gear, Emery is expected to drive the development of national and international sales strategies and manage the overall sales process. He will also be instrumental in plotting the future of Toddy Gear’s product development for the next three-to-five years.
Prior to joining the Toddy Gear team, Emery worked for two Top 40 suppliers, where he gained 15 years of experience in the promotional product industry, and spent two years as a distributor. He was previously recognized as one of the industry’s “Top 20 Up & Comers” and served on the marketing board for the planning of Promotional Products Association International’s (PPAI) 2014 North American Leadership Conference.
Additionally, Emery worked collaboratively to put together a sales team and sales process, which was recognized by ASI’s Distributor Choice Awards as the No. 1 sales team in the industry for four years in a row. For the past two years, Emery has served as a board member for the Quality Certification Alliance (QCA).
“Jason is the first step in an exciting growth spurt for us,” said Todd Gabel, founder of Toddy Gear. “It was important to have someone with an in-depth, well-rounded knowledge of the industry so he could jump right in. Jason’s 17-plus years of experience offers new strategies, ideas and tactics that will push the company to the next level, and we’re thrilled to have him navigate such an important time in Toddy Gear.”
