Promotional Products Association International (PPAI), Irving, Texas, has announced that Tony Hsieh, CEO of Zappos.com and author of “Delivering Happiness,” will give the keynote presentation at The PPAI Expo 2014 keynote in Las Vegas, January 13 to 17, 2014, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. Hsieh leads Zappos.com, a company that has enjoyed tremendous success for its capacity to define and instill value-based principles in an innovative way by putting one’s community first.
In his energetic and motivational keynote, Hsieh will welcome Expo attendees to his home city of Las Vegas to learn his unique perspective on how Zappos fosters its culture, creative ways to align an organization around core values, the “wow effect” as a marketing strategy and how to build a business model around happiness.
He believes if companies get the culture right, everything else, including building an enduring business, will naturally follow. Using the principles of positive psychology, he will navigate through the four essential elements of long-term happiness: creating a sense of control, recognizing progress, instilling meaning in work, and developing connectedness with customers, business partners, and fellow employees.
In addition to his responsibilities as CEO of Zappos.com, Tony is leading the “Downtown Project,” a group committed to transforming downtown Las Vegas into the most community-focused large city in the world.
