In an effort to help customers in the West receive their orders more quickly and cost efficiently, Towel Specialties, Baltimore, introduced the new Economy West Ship Program.
With the program, Towel Specialties coordinates production so orders ship on the appropriate Friday closest to the event date. Therefore, orders shipping to California, Nevada, Arizona, Colorado and New Mexico arrive on Tuesday; orders shipping to Washington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wyoming arrive on Wednesday.
In addition to the quicker delivery times, customers using the Economy West Ship Program can expect to pay the UPS ground rate minus 20 percent simply by using a Towel Specialties designated shipper.
“This program is relevant to distributors anywhere in the country who have to ship an order to any western state,” said Shawn Kanak, vice president of sales at Towel Specialties. “The only restriction is that the order must be over 500 pounds to receive the full 20 percent discount, but smaller shipments still qualify for the two- to three-day service at regular UPS rates.”
