The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced that Moose Toys is recalling its Little Live Pets Lil Frog and Lil Frog Lilly Pad toys because the toys’ batteries can become projectile and can leak.

The toys operate “jump” using battery power. The CPSC has received 17 reports of the batteries’ caps becoming projectile or battery chemicals leaking, which has caused two injuries needing emergency treatment and medical attention for eye irritation.

The CPSC recommended that all customers should immediately stop using the toys, refrain from opening the battery compartment, and contact Moose Toys for a free replacement Little Live Pet product.
