TSC Apparel, Cincinnati, announced its Tultex brand T-shirts will be part of the October 10th episode of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. The ABC show filmed the episode in Houston in July of this year. The new home was built for the Johnson family—counselors Eric and Elaine and their five daughters—who dedicate their lives to running their marriage and family counseling nonprofit organization with the goal of strengthening marriages in the community in fun, creative ways.
The Johnsons were living in a dangerously rundown inner-city house, and unable to make the needed renovations after 2008’s Hurricane Ike. The subsequent economic downturn delayed the project even further.
TSC Apparel donated 3,000 Tultex T-shirts which were printed and worn by the volunteers during construction. “We were so excited to be asked to be a part of such a great event, and very proud to be involved in the efforts to help build a safe home for an incredible family in our new backyard of Houston, Texas,” stated Marianne Allen, marketing director for TSC.
The company was pleased to bring its approach of leveraging strong customer service and deep inventory of basic apparel to the Houston market. Participating in the project affords TSC the opportunity to become involved at a grass roots level in the community.
Tultex brand apparel is a fashion-forward affordable line of T-shirts and fleece available exclusively through TSC Apparel. The legacy brand is owned by TSC Apparel and was resurrected in 2004, launching the line with a single style of hooded fleece in one color.
