Urban Golf Apparel Is a Thing Now

Perhaps as a result of athleisure’s dominance in the streetwear game, golf apparel is the latest sport to get an urban-inspired collection. According to Golf Digest, Adidas is launching adicross, a new collection of golf apparel that can go from the tee to the street.

The line will be available Dec. 1 at select retailers and adidas.com, and it features Anorak jackets, Henley shirts, hoodies, Oxfords and joggers.

The details promise to incorporate technology with fashion-forward looks, so that golfers can enjoy the convenience of versatile apparel. For example, the Henley T-shirt features “no-show technology” that eliminates the appearance of sweat. The five-pocket pant is composed of a nylon-spandex blend, which is comfortable and durable.

“This is something I’ll wear when I’m traveling to a tournament, practicing at home, or even headed to the gym,” said pro golfer Dustin Johnson to Golf Digest. “It’s just a cool look that I’m really excited about, especially since it’s so versatile being something you can wear on and off the course.”

So for those of you working in athletic apparel, maybe it’s time you go for more cutting-edge looks that can easily be transitioned to streetwear.
