The Vernon Company, Newton, Iowa, announced the hiring of Dustin Wicks as director of business development. In this role, Wicks will work with the Vernon Company’s top account executives and customers, in addition to assisting in the area of acquisitions and recruiting of top talent for the sales team.
Wicks previously worked for BIC Graphic, Clearwater, Fla., for the past nine years, holding several different positions in the sales arena, most recently serving as a national accounts manager. During this time, Wicks earned multiple awards for service and marketing support. The Vernon Company recognized Wick as Supplier Account Manager of the Year in 2013.
“Time and again, Dustin has come through with outstanding customer service and support for Vernon as our supplier account manager,” said Dave Regan, vice president of sales and marketing for The Vernon Company. “We are very excited that he will be joining us, as his industry knowledge, enthusiasm, work ethic and customer-first mentality will benefit us tremendously.”
Wicks will begin with The Vernon Company in early December.
