The Vernon Company hosted its national sales meeting, Vernon University, on April 15 to 17 at the Westin Galleria, in Houston. The three-day event brought together nearly 130 Vernon Company account executives and 90 industry supplier partners.
The sales meeting featured educational workshops, supplier presentations, a trade show, networking events, awards banquet, and a number of industry speakers.
Among the speakers in attendance were PPAI president and CEO Paul Bellantone, CAE, who presented the value of promotional products and the importance of differentiating yourself in the marketplace. PPAI’s Anne Lardner-Stone, public affairs director, spoke on the importance of product safety and the role distributors play in the process. Christine Hess, ASI’s director of sales, demonstrated how to market yourself and impress clients, while industry veteran Ron Baron delivered a motivational presentation on creating winning sales strategies.
“What a great time together to learn how to get to that next level and rejuvenate my sales,” said Jill Langis, Vernon Company account executive. “Everything about this meeting was top notch.”
