Recently, Wal-Mart joined forces with Uber and Lyft to deliver groceries. Now, the retail giant is piloting an office supply delivery service for Wal-mart-owned wholesaler Sam’s Club, according to TheStreet.com.
“We will soon be piloting the delivery of office supplies,” Tracey Brown, chief member officer of Sam’s Club, told TheStreet.com.
Brown didn’t offer too many specifics in terms of start dates and introductory locations. Currently, Sam’s Club offers two forms of business memberships: a $100 annual fee model and a $45 annual fee model, depending on the number of business members. With businesses across the country making monetary cuts, Sam’s Club’s sales among businesses have been mixed.
The company hopes that offering office supplies delivery could revitalize sales in the business market.
