American Apparel Inc. reported that comparable sales increased 8 percent, including a 5 percent increase in comparable store sales for its retail store channel and a 26 percent increase in net sales for its online channel. American Apparel Inc. announced preliminary comparable sales for the month ended January 31, 2013, and reported that wholesale net sales increased 14 percent for the month of January and total net sales increased 11 percent to $46.4 million. Comparable store sales increased 10 percent, including a 7 percent increase in comparable store sales for its retail store channel and a 24 percent increase in net sales for its online channel.
