American Apparel Announces January Sales, Wholesale Jumps 21 Percent

American Apparel Inc. reported that for the month of January, 2012 total net sales increased 14 percent to $41.4 million. For the same period, comparable store sales increased an estimated 15 percent on an estimated 11 percent increase at retail stores and an estimated 39 percent increase in online sales. For the month wholesale net sales increased an estimated 21 percent.

American Apparel Reports 25% Increase in Wholesale Sales

Los Angeles-based apparel manufacturer American Apparel has reported that its December 2011 sales increased 15 percent, to $56.3 million. This included a net sales increase of 25 percent for the company’s wholesale market, which caters to promotional products suppliers and decorators.
