The company reported that for the month of February, 2012, total net sales increased 13 percent to $42.1 million when compared to the month ended February 28, 2011. Between the same periods, comparable store sales increased an estimated 10 percent and wholesale net sales increased an estimated 24 percent.

For the same period, comparable store sales increased an estimated 15 percent on an estimated 11 percent increase at retail stores and an estimated 39 percent increase in online sales. For the month wholesale net sales increased an estimated 21 percent.

Los Angeles-based apparel manufacturer American Apparel has reported that its December 2011 sales increased 15 percent, to $56.3 million. This included a net sales increase of 25 percent for the company’s wholesale market, which caters to promotional products suppliers and decorators.
