Bag Makers’ Horse Places 19th in Kentucky Derby, Will Miss Summer Races With Injury

Take Charge Indy, the pedigree racehorse owned by Chuck and Maria Sanford (owners of industry supplier Bag Makers), placed 19th in this year’s Kentucky Derby, ending the race with a chip in its left-front ankle. The horse’s health is reported to be otherwise good, and after surgery this week and 60 days of rest, the horse will be able to resume training. Take Charge Indy will reportedly be out of racing for the summer, but will be back in racing shape shortly after that.

Hit Promotional Products was recently honored with the prestigious Supplier of the Year Award from the Mid-Atlantic Promotional Products Association (MAPPA). In addition, the company’s Mid-Atlantic Regional Account Manager, Julie Strob, was bestowed the Sales Rep of the Year Award from MAPPA.
