TerraCycle, a social enterprise on a mission to eliminate the idea of waste, offers a range of national, easy-to-use recycling platforms allowing everyone to #RecycleEverything. You may have already seen TerraCycle in action at your local grocery store with their Zero Waste Box platform that allows you to drop off your TerraCycle approved waste where you shop. In partnership with PopSockets, they’ve developed a program to offer free recycling services for your old PopSockets products, packaging, and phone cases.
In a time where 71% of Millennials and 67% of Gen Zers* think climate should be a top priority to ensure a sustainable planet, actions speak louder than words. By partnering with TerraCycle, PopSockets has ensured their commitment to recyclable and sustainable growth. The new program has already recycled more than 57,000 pounds of PopSockets products, packaging, and phone cases, taking materials that would otherwise end up in landfills and reusing them to create new things like furniture or watering cans.
With an emphasis on sustainable and recycled materials, PopSockets product development efforts have most recently resulted in the new PopGrip – Plant. With a focus on sustainable materials the newest addition to the PopGrip lineup is made from 35% plant-based materials including corn starch, castor beans, and canola oil which are used to create its patented accordion base.
This partnership and new product development brings with it several benefits to the Distributor-Client relationship. Selling PopSockets to the same clients, again, can seem like a futile effort, but with the new TerraCycle recycling efforts you can create a program that works for your customers. Set up a recycling center where the end-user can drop off or mail in their old PopSockets products to be included in a TerraCycle recycling shipment with the incentive to receive a new PopGrip – Plant! You’ve sold another order AND your clients have shown a commitment to creating a more sustainable future. Win-win!
