3 Tasks to Complete Before 2013

We just received new desk calendars at work, which reminded me how close 2013 is. That means another round of trade shows, programs and bottom lines. Here are three things you should do before the 2012 fourth quarter ends.

1. Use the Scott Method
Take advice from Michael Scott and “Kiss: Keep It Simple, Stupid.” The stupid is a bit harsh, but Michael Scott was not known to sugarcoat things. You don’t have much time to plan for November and December, so instead of making elaborate plans with suppliers you have not worked with before and having them fall through, focus on smaller programs with products and apparel you know will come on time.

2. Plan Ahead
The fourth quarter seems daunting, but a brand new first quarter follows it. Don’t get bogged down by fourth-quarter sales and forget to set up revenue for yourself in 2013.

3. Revamp Your Trade Show Ensembles
Are you ready for another trade show season? I’m not talking about promotional product shows. I mean the trade shows of other industries, the industries of your clients. Have you outfitted them with booth apparel, tables and accessories? Now is the time. If you are stuck on inspiration for your corporate apparel or trade show wears starting, here are some men in suits to spur your imagination.
