My walk to work this morning was the most pleasant one I’ve had in months. It was 60 degrees with a light breeze. I know this small taste of fall won’t last as we head toward 80+ degrees again this weekend, but it reminds me that days without humidity are not far away. A change in seasons means a change in wardrobe (or at least the addition of a few layers), but the transition from summer to fall in the promotional industry is particularly important. It means the fourth-quarter rush is in full swing. Here are four autumn styles to aid your fourth-quarter sales.
1. Graphic Tees
Imprinted tees are making a comeback on runways and in retail stores. They are replacing the all-over prints and minimalist blank tees of the last few years. You know what that means: imprints are en vogue. Take advantage and sell imprinted wearables ASAP. Pictured above is a good option.
2. Gingham Print
Typically associated with summer and picnic blankets, this bold checkered print looks good on outerwear, hats, pants and sweaters. It has long been a style staple and continues to be as we head for 2014. For a comfort wear gingham look, try flannel pants.
3. Preppy Looks
Cable knit sweaters, peacoats, leather handbags epitomize preppy style–plus they are perfect for crisp fall weather. Bundle this peacoat with your cold-weather programs for some added style and revenue.
4. Denim
Denim is a large part of American culture and history, especially with workwear and casual styles. Denim used to be a faux-pas in the corporate world, but not anymore. More offices are becoming casual, which allows you to add denim to your corporate sales. Lucky for you, embellished denim is in for fall. Try the custom jeans pictured above.
