Citrus, Sailing and Stripes

Though saving white for after Labor Day is a myth, there are some styles reserved for warmer months. This year’s summer trends are full of color and unique embellishments. Employ them in your upcoming promotions and you’ll see the benefit of embracing warm weather wears.

Trend 1: Hot Pink
Nothing says, “Hello, it’s summer!” quite like hot pink. The vibrant hue can be worn as an accessory, basic or a statement piece. Men needn’t shy away from the look-at-me shade because many apparel suppliers offer styles in pink for men. The color is supposed to make your skin appear tanner so skip baking in the sun and throw on a pink top! If you need some rose-inspiration, look through this slideshow of pink products provided by Refinery29 (the first is an imprinted notebook, how fitting for summer and this industry).

Trend 2: Citrus
The great thing about lemon, tangerine and grapefruit tones other than that they sound delicious is that they can be toned up or down. A yellow shirt will have end-users and end-buyers feeling sunny and fresh. These colors can be paired with other brights to create a host of summery ensembles.

Trend 3: Nautical
Whether you own a yacht, dream of being a sailor or just really like boat shoes, the nautical fashions for this summer are perfect for you and your clients. You can sell them stripes, topsiders and some wayfarers and they’ll sail away in glee.

Trend 4: Stripes
You can mix all of the above trends with the summer pattern of choice: stripes. The striped dresses from Prada and Marc Jacobs are on trend with the 70’s revival present on runways and in the retail world. They can come in bright pinks and oranges, but also more tame and ship-inspired navy and white. Suppliers like Vantage Apparel have worked this trend into their summer looks.
