Just like in nature, fads experience a natural evolution. Items pick up successful traits of other items, and future creations include the best of what’s around.
Right now, it doesn’t get any hotter than fidget spinners, or at least things that look like them. Lush, a company that specializes in personal care products like soap and hygiene products, is cashing in on the fidget spinner fervor by creating a “Bubble Spinner.”
The reusable, spinner-shaped bar first debuted on Instagram in July. The center piece is made with sustainably-sourced wood instead of the plastic on normal fidget spinners. Also, unlike the company’s bath bombs, the soap bar is reusable, and is good for up to four uses, according to Hello Giggles.
The fidget spinner bath toy hits stores in the U.S. on September 18, and will retail for $6.95.
This is a good example of the synergy (how’s that for a buzzword?) of different product categories. Distributors would be wise to pay attention to this combination of personal care products, toys and games, and environmentally-conscious products.
