HALO Branded Solutions, Sterling, Ill., announced that it has donated $62,620 to the Justin J. Watt Foundation, earmarking funds for Hurricane Harvey Flood Relief Fund to aid people in the Houston area. The donation reflects 267 people from HALO and Michael C. Fina Recognition contributing a total of $31,310, which was matched by HALO.
“After we addressed the immediate needs of our valued sales and support staff in the region, we researched charities that would provide the most impactful relief, and selected the JJ Watt Foundation,” said Marc Simon, CEO of HALO. “We announced our intent to our staff ands ales force, and the response was overwhelming. It is so wonderful to see 267 team members answer the call and step forward to donate.”
The foundation was started by Houston Texans defensive end JJ Watt in 2010, and focuses on after-school programs for children. After Hurricane Harvey, the foundation shifted monetary donations toward hurricane relief efforts.
“We realize the recovery from such devastation will take months, and possibly years,” Simon said. “Our hope is the hard work of our HALO team locally, combined with the generosity of the HALO family around the country, will, in some small measure, help the region recover more quickly and successfully.”
