Royal Industries Acquires Marlo Plastic Products’ Promotional Line

Royal Industries, Brooklyn, N.Y., announced that it has acquired the promotional products division of Marlo Plastic Products, Neptune, N.J.

“Royal and Marlo have been friendly competitors for years, and the decision to sell the promotional products division was an organic conversation,” Art Livingston, CEO of Marlo Plastic Products, said in a press release. “It kind of just came up, and we both thought it would be a great idea to allow each of us to focus on what we are best at.”

Marlo Plastics will continue to operate, but will focus on diploma covers, lanyards and badge holders, and will only accept repeat orders on those items. All promotional products business previously handled by Marlo will now be done by Royal Industries, as it has all repeat files, art, and dyes for the products.

Royal Industries will also take over Marlo’s ASI number, Sage number, and PPAI number, and asked that distributors update their records to reflect that.

“[The acquisition of Marlo’s promotional product line] will be a perfect complement to Royal’s ever-growing line of products, and will be an easy transition for its customers,” Ari Ruden, vice president of Royal Industries, said.
