Visstun Acquires Sixth Machine with More Miles than Hours

Visstun, Las Vegas, has expanded its plastic and paper cup offerings and increased its production capacity with the addition of a Paper Machinery Corp. (PMC) cup forming machine. The new machine enables Visstun to produce new, larger sizes and increases Visstun’s capacity to six PMC machines and 300 million cups per year.

In the last four years the machine has traveled 7,000 miles across the United States to three other companies who attempted to form cups similar to Visstun’s. The machine had only run for 200 hours before reaching its new home in Las Vegas, Nevada, where it will finally be able to do the job it was built for.

“When we launched Visstun four years ago, we began with two PMC 1250P machines,” said Ed Hamilton, Visstun president. “The addition of a sixth machine allows for even more flexibility and further supports our short lead times.”
