Polyconcept, Amsterdam, has announced it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Bullet Line, Miami. Terms have not been disclosed, and the transaction is expected to close next month. Polyconcept is the parent company to Leed’s, New Kensington, Pa.
“We are extremely excited to bring Bullet Line into the Polyconcept family,” said Michael Bernstein, CEO of Polyconcept North America. “Bullet Line is the premier company in its niche, offering excellent product and decorating capabilities with a strong sales and service team. Bullet Line provides a perfect complement to Leed’s, covering products and price points that are outside of Leed’s core expertise.”
According to Bernstein, Bullet Line and Leed’s will continue to be run as separate, independent entities with no change as regards their respective management teams. “I anticipate opportunities for Bullet Line and Leed’s to work together as both companies share a common set of customers and skills, especially in the product development and sourcing areas,” he added. “We will look at a number of ways to best leverage these capabilities while keeping the unique value propositions of each company clear to our distributors.”
The combination of Leed’s and Bullet Line will represent the largest U.S. supplier of non-wearable and non-calendar promotional products with close to 1,300 associates in the United States, and will be part of Polyconcept’s newly established division, Polyconcept North America.
“Though we were not actively looking to sell our company, Polyconcept attracted us as they’ve demonstrated success with managing high growth companies such as Leed’s in the U.S. and PF Concept in Europe,” said Jeffrey Kramer, CEO of Bullet Line. “We believe that this experience, combined with Leed’s reputation for excellence, positions Polyconcept as the most innovative supplier in our industry, and we’re proud to be part of the team.”
“Both Leed’s and Bullet Line have been trend-setting organizations in the U.S. promotional products industry when it comes to innovation, service and reliability,” said Philippe Varnier, chairman of the Polyconcept Group. “Bullet Line also meets our global standards of only investing in companies that we believe to have a sustainable competitive advantage with very strong and experienced management teams. We are very fortunate to have two of the best U.S. suppliers as part of our Global Polyconcept platform.”
