Stran Promotional Solutions organized its second annual Charity Tag Sale on July 17 outside of its office in Quincy, Mass. The team at Stran invited all of its neighbors in the Heritage Drive office park and greater North Quincy neighborhood to attend the event.
The company offered a wide selection of product samples collected by Stran since last year’s event to be “sold” to guests in exchange for a donation to the Boys and Girls Club of Dorchester. Stran set a goal of raising $1,500 over the course of the afternoon, but far exceeded its goal by raising $1,909.81 in donations.
“We want to thank Stran Promotional Solutions for the generous contributions to Boys and Girls Clubs of Dorchester,” said Patty Lamb, director of development and communications for the Boys and Girls Club of Dorchester. “Funding from Stran helps us keep our services affordable and accessible to the low-income community that we serve. While the yearly cost of our services is about $1,900 per child, our members pay just $5 in annual dues to participate. This funding is vital in helping us provide over 200 life-enhancing programs in art, education, music, film and photography, college and career prep, character and leadership development, health and life skills, athletics, aquatics, and social recreation.”
In addition to the tag sale, Stran brought in two local food trucks and provided lunches to the first 100 guests of the tag sale as a thank-you for participating in the event. One of Stran’s clients, Wahlburger’s, generously donated their food truck and meals to the event. In addition, Yasso, Stran’s neighbor at 2 Heritage Drive in Quincy, gave out free samples of its frozen yogurt popsicles to guests.
“Once again it was great to see the whole Stran team get involved and help support this vital organization,” said Andy Shape, president of Stran Promotional Solutions. “It’s a great opportunity for us to get out and meet our neighbors while having some fun and supporting our community.”
