Proforma, Cleveland, announced that Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple, has accepted an invitation to join Proforma in a celebration of its new business management technology platform, ProVision, on Jan. 12, 2020, at the PPAI Expo. After a considerable vetting process by Wozniak’s team, he accepted his invitation to celebrate Proforma’s thought leadership and innovation in technology.
“I am looking forward to joining Proforma for this special celebration of their new business management technology platform,” Wozniak said. “I have always said that ‘wherever smart people work, doors are unlocked,’ and clearly Proforma is unlocking doors to the future in this industry.”
Wozniak, a masterful storyteller, will be taking the stage with Proforma CEO Vera Muzzillo in an exclusive discussion about the early days at Apple, his partnership with Steve Jobs and his vision for the future of technology. Sunday night’s event, titled “An Evening with Steve Wozniak,” will be followed by limited photo opportunities for VIP guests.
“I am honored to speak with Steve about his stories and topics, including how technology platforms like ProVision will be the driving force for successful business management across all industries,” said Muzzillo. “Investing over four years, $12 million and 75 tech team members into ProVision was a risky but necessary decision we had to make to remain at the forefront of our industry. It is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to celebrate this degree of innovation with one of the most influential forces in modern-day technology at the PPAI Expo—the industry’s annual convention and single largest gathering of industry professionals.”
Wozniak’s contributions to technology, including the creation of Apple’s first line of products, have earned him the National Medal of Technology, the highest honor given to America’s leading innovators and induction into the Inventors Hall of Fame. Wozniak now devotes his time and resources to numerous educational initiatives including ‘Woz U,’ an online learning platform with coursework in software development, data science and cybersecurity.
“I am excited that Proforma will bring Steve Wozniak to The PPAI Expo for their Celebration of Technology Innovation,” said Paul Bellantone, president and CEO of PPAI. “The PPAI Expo hosts dozens of supplier and distributor events throughout the week, and we look forward to Proforma’s exciting new addition.”
Wozniak’s invite-only event will be part of a two-day event hosted by Proforma at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.
Proforma also announced that New York Times bestselling author Brian Moran will join its Elevate 2020 Annual Kick-Off Meeting for “A Morning with Brian Moran.” The event will include a two-hour motivational session and workshop open to all Proforma attendees and VIP invited guests, where Moran will share actionable items to increase productivity and accelerate sales growth.
Best known for his book titled “The 12 Week Year: Get More Done in 12 Weeks than Others Do in 12 Months, ” Moran is an entrepreneur and business success coach whose 12-week goal-setting approach has been used by companies including NASA, Dunkin’ Brands and Allstate. With more than 30 years of executive experience, his methodology to “get more done in 12 weeks than others will in 12 months” has been endorsed as the operating method of choice to simplify project execution and drive significant results in a fraction of the time.
“With our positioning in the industry as the leader in technology and business success, it is vital for us to celebrate both at this year’s PPAI Expo,” Muzzillo said. “Hearing Woz speak at our event on Sunday night will be a great testament to our technology, and we’re excited for Brian Moran to further inspire attendees to achieve their highest level of business success, as he has done with executives at some of the largest organizations in the world.”
The Brian Moran event will be followed by private, Proforma-only events, including a supplier roundtable luncheon, multiple educational sessions and more.
