Over the last couple of years, we’ve been reporting on any news that’s related to the Fyre Festival, which was set to happen in April of 2017. After the two documentaries—from both Netflix and Hulu—released last year, you probably know the name Andy King, who invested in this disastrous event, and how one of his responsibilities was to have Evian water bottles provided for attendees. He became infamous for just how far he’d go in the name of team spirit, which boosted him to meme status.
On the anniversary of the documentary release, Evian partnered with King and created a new slogan, “So good you’d do anything for it.”

If you’re not too familiar with the Fyre Festival, here’s a quick recap: The Fyre Festival was put together by rapper Ja Rule and convicted fraudster Billy McFarland. It was meant to be the greatest music festival ever (had it actually happened), held on the private island Exuma in the Bahamas.
Famous influencers like Bella Hadid, Emily Ratajkowski and Kendall Jenner promoted the trip and tagged the fraudulent festival on their Instagram pages in order to bring awareness to this “once-in-a-lifetime” festival. Many things were promised—including a luxurious experience—but nothing was actually prepared when it came time for guests to arrive, and attendees were stranded on the island without much in the way of food and water, much less music and luxury.
During the festival, King was in charge of retrieving Evian water bottles that were held up in customs, and he was willing to do anything to bring them to the festival. Hence the new slogan.
From a Billboard article:
On the one-year anniversary of the movie’s release, Evian is honoring King for his dedication by devoting custom water bottles just for him with a tongue-in-cheek tagline: “So good you’d do anything for it.”
Only ten bottles were released in this partnership, and in order to win one, you had to follow Andy King on Instagram and tag a friend in the comments section. The giveaway closed on Saturday at 11:59 p.m., but you can still view the images of bottle on King’s or the Evian page.
As Magnetic Magazine article mentioned, it would be cool if contest winners sold the bottles and had the proceeds going to a good cause. Otherwise, another neat idea for Evian would be to release a limited amount of water bottles, available for purchase, that benefitted the victims.
