Have you guys seen the new Xbox Series X? It, uh, kind of looks like a little refrigerator, doesn’t it? At least that’s what critics (probably Playstation buyers or those self-righteous PC gamers) think.
Microsoft looked at the memes and thought, “You know what? It does look like a fridge. And that gives us a great idea…”
The one.

The promotion ended yesterday, but one lucky gamer (and cold-drink enjoyer) will receive the branded refrigerator, worth approximately $2,999 per the contest rules.
In the meantime, Microsoft been flooding Twitter with some grade-A jokes at its own expense. This is how you do it. Absorb the blows from the haters, turn it into something that helps you and use it against them. Also, get some publicity while you’re at it.

Full disclosure, I’m a Playstation guy, and even I think this rules. I would love if they made something out of the PS5, but it would just be some gigantic monstrosity or modern art or something. This is practical and efficient. Microsoft won this one fair and square.
Well, fair and rectangle.
