Question: I have QuickBooks Premier 2020. I keep seeing pop-ups from QB asking if I want to upgrade to Premier 2022. Should I do that?
Answer: If you purchased your QB Premier 2020 on a one-time basis (instead of a subscription), it will be updated without any additional cost through May 2023. By purchasing QB Premier with a one-time payment (which is no longer offered), your QB would be updated at no additional charge for three years. For instance, Premier 2021 is supported through May 2024, etc.
If you upgrade to Premier 2022 as the button keeps persistently prompting, you will automatically be in a subscription, for which you will have to pay annually. I would wait to convert to a subscription model until the last week of my current product.
