Just in time for Memorial Day Weekend, Miller Lite released beer-infused charcoal for your boozy barbecues. Now, gearing up for Labor Day Weekend already, Miller Lite is helping out those who want to get their grill on but don’t have one of their own.
The brand’s “Grill Share” program will offer up rentable grills in New York City and Chicago this weekend. Pop-ups will take place in Williamsburg, Brooklyn; and in Chicago’s West Loop neighborhood, and each grill features Miller Lite’s branding on the hood.

Also, starting today, Miller Lite is hosting a “Grill Share Giveaway,” providing multiple chances to win a branded Miller Lite grill to keep.
In densely populated cities like New York and Chicago, backyards can be hard to come by, so having a space to grill safely can complete the holiday weekend for some people. Since the grills are branded like Miller Lite cans, people will always remember who hooked them up with the opportunity to play grillmaster even in the biggest concrete jungles.
Each rental comes with a spatula, apron and folding beach chair (complete with an umbrella). It also comes with a $25 gift card to buy things to actually put on the grill.
We’ve said before that the smartest promotional campaigns are the ones that identify a need and fulfill it. Miller Lite estimated that 30% of American households don’t have a grill of their own. The brand felt that was unacceptable, and is doing something about it.
You can even throw in your beer-soaked charcoal to complete the vibe if you want.
