Mimosas are a brunch staple, whether you’re going out or making them at home. Part of the beauty is in its simplicity: It’s pretty much just sparkling wine and orange juice.
But even the simplest drinks rely on good ingredients, and a touch of flair always takes the quality up a notch.
Tropicana is hoping that your mimosa includes their orange juice, and is incentivizing home mixologists with a fun “Mimosa Maker” that’s essentially just a squirt top for orange juice bottles.
There’s millions of ways to make a mimosa. But for #theperfectmimosa, there’s Tropicana Mimosa Maker. A breakthrough in brunching that turns a Tropicana single-serve into a perfect mimosa machine. The nozzle has three different spray settings depending on how you want to spritz up your sparkling wine (or whatever you’re mixing your OJ with) – Whisper, Spritz and Shower.
“The three varying OJ spray settings were inspired by a behavior adults were already practicing on social media as they attempted to create the perfect mimosa with homemade solutions,” Jim Spalding, Tropicana’s senior director of brand marketing, told AdWeek.
The pandemic has created more demand for at-home versions of things. Now that people are a little more used to the idea of a home brunch, or home movie experience, people like kits to replicate the restaurant or movie theater at home.

This is such a simple concept: It’s just one relatively small item, but it’s made specifically for a bottle of Tropicana orange juice, meaning that to get the fun out of it, you need to buy their products. And who wouldn’t want an excuse to use something fun like this to impress their brunch guests?
From a branding perspective, the logo is prominently placed; and the actual nozzle itself incorporates the red-and-white-striped straw motif from the logo, making it a version of the Tropicana logo that actually works.
Like most modern giveaways, this one has the exclusivity factor, too. You can only get one by entering a sweepstakes that opens this Sunday, Nov. 6.
