Restaurants, hotels and other hospitality industry businesses need to put their logo in as many places as possible. There are plenty of opportunities, too: towels, drinkware, napkins, signage, apparel, the list goes on and on. But, for the most part, the branding experience stops at the things the customer actually consumes.
It doesn’t have to.
Enter the Clear Ice Embosser, which uses brass to rapidly melt ice cubes in a way to emboss a logo right into the ice cube. That way, the customer is looking at a logo the whole time they’re drinking (that is, at least, until the ice melts completely).
According to Yanko Design, brands can buy their own Clear Ice Embosser and upload their logo. So far, it’s been used in hotels like the Ritz-Carlton, Four Seasons, JW Marriott, W Hotels and more.
This really shows the possibilities for branding are endless. There’s always a way to sneak a logo into an experience. And, for hotel guests who receive a cocktail, they’ll think about the fine attention to detail required to go as far as branding the ice cubes.
If it’s a flat surface, there’s probably a way to decorate it.
