Twice a year, New York Fashion Week is the place to see and be seen – where to spot fashion trends for the following season on the runway and where to identify what’s currently in style on the sidelines on show attendees and in the streets. The most recent iteration of NYFW wrapped last week with an eye toward Spring 2026 styles that could inspire early planning for 2026 campaigns – but there’s also more timely inspiration to be found in the trendy streetwear style of attendees. Here are five trends from NYFW that could work in your next campaign.
Sky Blue
In the same way that butter yellow was the color of this year’s spring and summer, sky blue is shaping up to be the “it” color of next spring. It was all over the runways at NYFW, on both the design and beauty side, with models sporting head-to-toe blues and pastel eyeshadow.
Promo Idea: Choose a light blue hue for event merchandise or retail-inspired apparel campaigns.

Headscarves
A natural escalation of this summer’s “scarf belt” trend, designers leaned into headscarf accessories on this year’s runways in classic silky solids, delicate lace or colorful patterns.
Promo Idea: For clients more willing to lean into subtle branding or playful patterns, a custom headscarf could be the perfect unique addition to an influencer campaign.

Plaids & Prints
Flannels are a staple of the fall season – and it seems like plaid is making a comeback in fashion-forward circles. NYFW showgoers were decked out in the print, from classic button downs to outerwear to pleated skirts.
Promo Idea: Lean into the season with a piece of cozy plaid-printed outerwear.

Red Accents
Wearing red might be making a statement this far from the holiday season – but a small pop of color would be right on trend with the streetwear style of NYFW, where attendees sported red cardigans and tops on the side of the runway.
Promo Idea: Add a pop of red to an end-of-year gifting campaign with a tech-forward accessory like these touchscreen gloves.

Sports Jackets
The trend toward a ‘90s-inspired preppy, sporty style isn’t a new one for the promo industry (see: the shift back toward ultra-heavyweight tees), but it is one way promo has kept up with retail – and NYFW kept the trend going.
Promo Idea: Custom varsity jackets are a natural pick for universities and athletic teams, but think outside the box to other industries for a standout gift.
