2008 Excellence Award Winners Announced

THE PROMO MARKETING Excellence Awards are the premier platform for distributors to make their voices heard and to recognize the suppliers who make the industry what it is. In an arena of constant change and innovation, the following companies stand out in the minds of the readers as being the go-to sources for the most popular premiums.

Distributors voted in 30 categories encompassing all of the biggest and best products and services offered by the promotions industry. Over several months, more than 50,000 votes were cast, and with topics ranging from caps to clocks, from luggage to lanyards, there was a product for every distributor to get behind. There were a number of close races, and with over 150 finalists, an abundance of suppliers were recognized and awarded, with top honors going to the three companies in each section who received the greatest share of votes.

In addition to the winners in each category, Promo Marketing has tabulated the Top 50 Suppliers in the industry by revenue*. Combined, these outstanding companies reported an amazing $4,782,192,321 in promotional products revenue for 2007, with a net gain of $1,089,115,171 over last year’s winners—a more than one-billion-dollar increase. If there were any doubts about the state of the industry, let these numbers allay those fears as they indicate the advertising specialty business remains strong even in trying economic times.
