World Emblem Mexico, one of Miami-based World Emblem’s nine manufacturing locations, has doubled its manufacturing footprint and moved to a new 125,000 square-foot location in Aguascalientes, Mexico.

World Emblem originally expanded to Mexico in 2005 by opening a 30,000 square-foot location. Within a year, the company expanded the location to 55,000 square feet. After 10 years of operation, this site became insufficient to handle the continued growth. In the beginning of 2015, the company decided to move to a larger facility. After spending most of 2015 searching for a citing location, the company completed the move in February 2016.

During the move, World Emblem Mexico added and installed an additional 24 new machines with almost 300 heads in the new facility. World Emblem Mexico currently has more than 100 embroidery machines and more than 1,000 sewing heads with even more machines to arrive in the upcoming months.

“This equipment gives us the capacity to produce more than 60,000 emblems per day,” Alberto Albarran, general manager for World Emblem Mexico, said. “We made the move to ensure capacity for existing clients and forecasted growth over the next 10 years. With this new building, we will have a better distribution on the floor that will result in increased productivity.”

“Having a strong team in Mexico under the amazing leadership of Alberto Albarran has allowed our domestic operations to focus on their individual clients’ specialty orders, while all of the large-volume manufacturing could be centrally manufactured and distributed in four days or less from Mexico,” said Randy Carr, president and CEO of World Emblem. “Flexstyle has also had such a huge impact on our volume requiring 30,0000 square feet of manufacturing space in Mexico just for the growth associated with this product.”
