Ennis Inc., based in Midlothian, Texas, congratulated Steve Kelso on his retirement after 46 years of service and announced the promotion of Mark Boore to the position of general manager of the Fort Scott, Kansas facility.
Boore joined Ennis in 1998 as a press operator and was quickly promoted to plant superintendent. Previously, Boore worked as a press operator for 15 years at FMI in Girard, Kansas.
Terry Pennington, Ennis’ vice president, said, “Mark has the experience and knowledge necessary to excel and has earned the respect of the employees. He thoroughly met all of the qualifications and we are excited about our choice for Fort Scott and their new general manager.”
Kelso served as general manager of Ennis‐Fort Scott for the last 10 years. Prior to his term as general manager, he was promoted several times through the ranks of the plant including plant manager, plant superintendent, factory supervisor and press operator.
Pennington commented, “Steve began his career with Ennis as a press operator and enters retirement 46 years later as general manager of one of our most successful facilities. Steve is a great example of what you can achieve with hard work and determination and we wish him the best in retirement. He will be greatly missed by the employees as well as our customers.”
