Mohawk, Cohoes, N.Y., recently promoted John P. Macy and added Bob Smusz to its team.
Macy, who served as vice president and corporate treasurer since 2012, became senior vice president and chief financial officer. In that role, he will manage treasury activities, banking relations, cash management, insurance coverage, ERISA/pension, credit agreements and internal and external financial reporting.
Prior to coming to Mohawk, Macy worked as an audit partner at KPMG for 22 years and was a member of IBM’s technical accounting group. A Certified Public Accountant, Macy earned his accounting degree from Siena College.
Smusz, who has more than 30 years of sales experience, was hired as sales and marketing manager for the retail channel. His previous roles included vice president of operations with International Paper’s xpedex and regional vice president with Federated Department Stores, now know as Macy’s.
