Remember the last time you cracked open a delicious, thirst-quenching bottle of Coca-Cola. Did you think to yourself, “Wow, I really wish I could take a selfie of myself enjoying this refreshing beverage?” Probably not, but Coca-Cola still is hoping you’ll appreciate its future promotional product.

According to Business Insider, Coca-Cola Israel worked with Gefen Team to create a selfie bottle for its Coca-Cola Summer Love campaign. It seems the company is hoping patrons of Israel’s largest outdoor brand event will absolutely love the opportunity to take selfies of themselves sipping their beverages.

“Users tag themselves and their friends in photos on Coca-Cola’s social media assets,” Gefen Team said in a statement, according to Business Insider. “It really does the trick and makes the partygoers more present and active during the event, knowing they can share their special moments just by drinking.”

In terms of how the product works, the selfie bottle is fitted with a camera at the base and a sensor that can detect a 70-degree drinking tilt. At that moment, the camera will capture users’ awe-inspiring Coke-drinking selfies.

Although this might seem over the top, we can definitely see this taking off for suppliers and distributors in the drinkware space. It is the perfect opportunity to demonstrate the actual promotional products at work.
