A “mass layoff” at an LSC Communications transportation center in Bolingbrook, Illinois, and the closure of a OneTouchPoint commercial printing plant in northeast Denver — both slated for September — will result in the layoffs of 180 and 70 workers, respectively.
Warrenville, Illinois-based LSC Communications filed a WARN Act notice with the state of Illinois on July 9 that it will permanently lay off 180 employees at its LSC Communications Transport LLC (doing business as Enru Logistics) transportation facility in Bolingbrook, Illinois, on September 5.
It follows the sale in April of the co-mailing portion of the LSC-MCL co-mailing and co-mail logistics business to Sussex, Wisconsin-based Quad. That transaction included all MCL co-mail related manufacturing assets, technology, and its commercial book of business. However, the sale to Quad did not include the logistics portion of the business.
