Admore Recognized at 2007 Gallery of Superb Printing Awards Dinner

Admore, Macomb, Mich., was recognized at The Gallery of Superb Printing awards dinner in April for its printing achievements. The company won four awards, including: a Gold Award for the 2007 Admore Line Sales Kit and for the Chicago/Rockford International Airport custom designed, four-color process binder piece; a Silver Award for the “Stanley Martin,” a UV-treated piece in the Emerging Technology category; and a Bronze Award for “The Green Group,” an entry in the folder-without-inserts category.

The Gallery of Superb Printing awards program is held annually to recognize deserving companies for outstanding workmanship in the printing industry.

In addition, Ernie Fletcher, research and development manager, was recognized as the “Technical Craftsman of the Year.” The honor is bestowed upon the best technical expert in the Detroit-metro printing market. Long before commercial folding equipment became available, Fletcher developed and built automated folding machines that are still in use by Admore today.

Entries in The Gallery of Superb Printing are judged based upon the quality of the piece. They are evaluated on registration, ink coverage, color intensity, dot structure, binding quality and finishing, overall appearance and difficulty. In order to qualify for an award, each printed piece must display an exemplary level of craftsmanship.
