The American Airlines flight attendants uniform saga continues to make headlines. News outlets are now reporting that a group of American Airlines flight attendants have retained legal counsel, and are preparing to sue.
The flight attendants continue to say their new uniforms gave them hives, rashes and headaches. Business Insider is reporting that the impending lawsuit will name the uniform supplier, Twin Hill, as a defendant. However, it is uncertain whether or not American Airlines will be named as a co-defendant.
The group of flight attendants have hired Los Angeles-based law firms Balaban & Spielberger and Kabateck Brown Kellner to represent them.
Additionally, CBS DFW is reporting that American Airlines workers are planning to picket at DFW International Airport in response to a contract issue. So, it’s safe to say American Airlines isn’t getting the best press lately. However, it is strange that the flight attendants might not involve the company itself in the lawsuit. Seeing as American Airlines CEO responded to the uniform crisis with such lukewarm sentiment, it seems he’s getting off easy on this one.
Hopefully, this serves as a reminder that employee uniforms are extremely important, and that you should ensure yours go through rigorous testing before sending them off to a client.
