Arizona Promotional Products Association Raises Funds for Local Middle School Class

On Tuesday, June 4, the philanthropy committee of the Arizona Promotional Products Association (AzPPA) hosted a fundraising event for a class at Palo Verde Middle School in Phoenix as part of its Family Fun Event at the Main Event in Tempe, Ariz.

The event collected more than $300 in cash donations for the class, along with 100 drawstring backpacks holding an assortment of crayons, markers, pencils, pencil cases, journal books, binders, toothbrushes, sports balls, etc., all donated by generous suppliers and distributors in the promotional products industry.

Participants in the event were treated to an Italian buffet and competed in bowling, laser tag and arcade games at the Main Event.

“We are so proud to have had such a successful event to support the children in this very deserving classroom,” said AzPPA 2019 philanthropy chairperson Stephanie Welch of HP2 Products and Promotions. “It was all for a great cause, and the students of Alexa Hawkins’ class at Palo Verde Middle School truly appreciate our support.”

The 2019 philanthropy committee also includes AzPPA board member Anna Wiese of Imagen Brands. The event coordinator for the Family Fun Night was AzPPA board member Donna Day of McCreary’s Tees.
