Citing its desire to greatly simplify the sales and ordering process for distributors, Bag Makers Inc., Union, Ill., announced it is discontinuing the bag industry’s long-standing tradition of calculating plate costs based on the square inches of the design. Beginning January 1, 2010 the company will offer one flat rate for either its flexo or hot-stamp plates, regardless of the size of the design. This concept will streamline the sales and ordering process and help distributors close more orders.
