Barton Nelson, Kansas City, Mo., has been forced to close by its lenders after 53 years of being in business. A message on the company’s phone line apologizes and explains that the company will not be able to fulfill current orders. The full text of the outgoing message can be seen below.
“Thank you for contacting Barton Nelson Incorporated. After 53 years, BNI is being forced to close its doors by our lenders. We will not be accepting new orders and we are unable to ship your current orders. We are extremely sorry our lenders put us all in this position. On behalf of BNI employees and the Nelson family, we thank you for your friendship and loyalty. Wishing you the very best. Thank you.”
Barton Nelson did not submit sales volumes for Promo Marketing Top 50 Suppliers list last year, but the company ranked 34 on the list in 2012, with a 2011 sales volume of $38,500,000. Currently, the company’s website is still up, and there is no auto-reply or bounce message set for emails.
