BIC Graphic, Clearwater, Fla., announced the addition of more than 20 new BIC-branded writing instruments, including five completely new design families as well as extensions of other products featuring either new colors or the addition of a stylus version.
Three key trends have influenced the development of the new writing instruments:
- Prominent branding: As requested by promotional products distributors, using the well-recognized BIC icon incorporated into the pen and does not compete with end user brand imprints
- Upgraded ink systems: Many of the new pens feature a 1.2mm ballpoint ink cartridge for smooth writing and bold lines
- Multi-function: Stylus, multi-color, etc.
These new product launches tie in with an advertising campaign that includes print advertising, database promotions and an innovative #lovemybic social media campaign, encouraging BIC Graphic customers to share their favorite BIC product on social media. By including the #lovemybic hashtag, posts will be collected and featured on a living “social wall” on bicgraphic.com.
