BIC Graphic, Clearwater, Fla., received the 2016 American Red Cross North Central Blood Services Region Outstanding Blood Drive Sponsor award. Donna Dewanz,site bloodmobile committee chairperson for Red Cross, accepted the award on BIC Graphic’s behalf at the regional Red Cross Volunteer Recognition and Annual Meeting on June 28.
The award recognizes BIC Graphic employees in Sleepy Eye, Minn., for lifesaving blood donations made over more than 20 years of Red Cross blood drives. Through BIC Graphic’s blood drive program, employees have touched thousands of lives with their dedication to the lifesaving mission of the Red Cross.
“It has always impressed me that the BIC Graphic Sleepy Eye employees have a great concern for others,” said Warren Harris, Sleepy Eye site manager. “Despite having demanding jobs, they always have time to help their friends and neighbors. The high participation rates at the blood drives are only one example of the many ways our employees strive to help their community. I am very pour to be a part of such a strong and caring team.”
