Boxercraft Donates Products to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta

Atlanta-based Boxercraft recently donated more than 600 apparel items to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. In the emergency room, kids’ clothes are often damaged or cut during treatment. Now, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta’s patients receive fashionable and comfortable Boxercraft apparel replacements.

“It’s very comforting to a child to have something that’s not hospital-like,” said Molly Duggan, child life specialist at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. “It makes their time with us a little nicer.”

This is one of the largest donations Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta has received of new apparel in bulk, and it has allowed them to have different items and sizes in stock. Boxercraft’s donation included fleece shorts, flannel pants, shirts, hoodies, blankets and bags.

“It’s been very helpful,” said Duggan. “If we need to get a kid home or a family comfortable while they’re here, we can do that now.”

As a not-for-profit health care organization, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta runs largely on donations. Boxercraft’s fashionable youth apparel donation directly supports Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta’s mission to brighten the hospital stay of patients and their families, said Duggan. Boxercraft is proud to be able to support organizations in its community like Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta’s, one of the country’s leading pediatric health care providers.
