Pizza Hut Will Use Branded Trucks, Scooters and Bikes for Deliveries During Super Bowl

While the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers are working hard to prepare for Super Bowl LIV, they are far from the only renowned names that are anticipating the title tilt’s rewards. Next weekend, in its role as the Official Pizza Sponsor of the National Football League, Pizza Hut will call on branded trucks, scooters and bikes to sate pie-hungry patrons in Miami, the site of the sporting year’s ultimate highlight.

Many people will undoubtedly get tired of Super Bowl hype, given that two weeks will have elapsed between the conference championship games and the Big Game, but businesses like Pizza Hut are eating up the waiting period.

Expecting to sell more than 1.5 million pizzas come Feb. 2, Pizza Hut figures to be particularly popular in Florida, thanks to the distribution of 30,000 slices at more than 15 Miami locations. We are a little curious as to how scooters are going to be effective as delivery choices, but Pizza Hut must have the matter figured out in order to have enlisted them in their Super Bowl weekend fleet alongside Ford F-150 trucks.

Pizza Hut has made headlines with promotional campaigns in the past. As we noted back in 2018, the company upped its tech game on a couple occasions even before it enjoyed its first Super Bowl sponsorship role, so it’s good to see that it’s still pushing for more exposure, even minus a high-tech component.

The overall point is that Pizza Hut is not resting on any laurels and just expecting that people are going to want its product based on reputation alone. It is meeting the public and showing that it intends to be a contender for pizza lovers’ attention long after the Chiefs and 49ers leave Hard Rock Stadium.

If, along the courses that the trucks, scooters and bikes will take, the drivers notice any roads in need of repair, they might even give Domino’s a run for its mozzarella by considering a way to remedy the situations.
