BroderBros. Co. Announces Updates to Popular Authentic Pigment Brand

Trevose, Pennsylvania-based BroderBros. announced its Alpha division will be upgrading the quality of several styles of shirts in its Authentic Pigment shirt line, without increasing the price.

The new shirt styles will feature improvements including the use of 6 percent organic cotton, more than 50 new color choices and new silhouettes for better fit and feel.

Plus, all Authentic Pigment styles are garment-dyed, which means less dye, water and energy are used in the creating the styles.

“It will be hard for any of our customers to find a better pigment-dyed product–with a better fabric, fit, color and companion selection—at a better price from any other distributor,” said Andrea Engel, vice president of merchandising at BroderBros. “Also, we are working to offer our customers a variety of apparel that is made with the environment in mind because we understand that being eco-friendly has become very important to our industry.”

BroderBros.Co. Exclusively Offers New Retail Brand

Alpha, NES and BroderBros. announced the companies will exclusively launch the PlayBack brand, also known as PurePlay in retail markets, this fall. PlayBack’s mission is to reinvent apparel in order to deliver a fashionable, stylish product that employs the most ecologically friendly process available. The brand’s mission is summed up in its tagline, “Clothes for the Regeneration.”

“We’re very excited about the potential of this brand,” noted Andrea Engel, vice president of merchandising at BroderBros. “It has a patent-pending new fabric—Eco-Logic Fabric—that uses 70 percent recycled cotton scraps, which we believe will have tremendous appeal to the eco-friendly market.” BroderBros. Co. and its divisions will be offering PlayBack’s sweaters and fleece styles to the promotional market. Playback inventory will be available for distribution beginning in Oct. 2008.
