The Children’s Place has recalled a boys’ varsity jacket due to a choking hazard. The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) reported that the metal snaps on the jacket could detach, creating a choking hazard to young children.
Approximately 13,700 jackets were sold in the U.S., with 2,200 more sold in Canada between December 2014 and July 2015. The jacket is royal blue with gray sleeves, and has a baseball character with a red hat on the chest. “The Children’s Place” is printed on a tag inside the neck.
No injuries have been reported, but the CPSC recommended that consumers should immediately take the item away from children and return it to any The Children’s Place store for a full refund. If consumers purchased the jacket online, they can contact the store to receive a postage-paid envelope to return the time for a full refund.
