David Shultz joins commonsku, a promotional products business and sales software, as vice president of supplier partnerships.
Shultz has more than 17 years of experience in the promotional products industry and is the former vice president of operations at Distributor Central. A recent PPAI Fellow inductee and recipient of PPAI’s Industry Collaborator award, Shultz is the incoming president of the Promotional Products Association Midwest (PPAM) and serves as a member of PPAI’s professional development committee.
“We are excited to be bringing on someone as multi-talented, well-respected and committed to the industry as David,” said Catherine Graham, commonsku CEO. “With commonsku, we have a big vision around how to more seamlessly connect the workflow between suppliers, distributors and clients. As [vice president of] supplier partnerships, David will be instrumental in achieving this mission, working with suppliers to help them connect with distributors more effectively at the ideation phase, as well as helping integrate with PromoStandards to achieve better operational efficiency. Because of David’s diverse background in the industry, from software development to sales and marketing, to education, we couldn’t have found a better fit to join us on this journey.”
Shultz hails from Kansas City, where he also serves as a chair for the Big Slick Celebrity Weekend, a charity event that has raised more than $8 million for the Children’s Mercy Pediatric Cancer Center in Kansas City.
“David’s reputation precedes him as a genuine person who loves this business and fully embraces the community that is driving real progress in our industry,” said Mark Graham, commonsku’s chief platform officer. “We are ramping up for significant growth ahead of us and are excited to have someone with so much experience to focus on our supplier customers. We are delighted to have Dave’s perspective around our leadership table and look forward to the energy he brings in helping us achieve our vision of a more connected industry.”
