Chuck Dahlgren, president of St. Paul, Minnesota-based supplier Crystal D, was recognized on September 24 at the Minnesota Manufacturing Awards ceremony organized by Minnesota Business magazine.
The annual event took place at Aria in Minneapolis. Keynote speaker Anja White addressed the audience of 250 business leaders, owners and manufacturing experts. She discussed the topic of employee engagement and the business results owners can expect when they focus time, energy and resources on engaging their employees.
Dahlgren was among three leaders selected as finalists for the Executive of the Year award. Candidates for this award also included Dave Murphy of Red Wing Shoe Store and Joe Petrich of Activar. Candidates were selected based on their personal excellence in the areas of industry advocacy, educational encouragement, philanthropy and employee culture. Petrich was named the winner of the Executive of the Year award.
“I am very humbled and grateful to be one of the finalists for Executive of the Year,” Dahlgren said. “To be included with the other distinguished candidates is a privilege and an honor. The awards banquet was an awesome experience, and to be one of the recognized nominees made it even better.”
